Overview: 5.5 acre commercial parking lot with several high volume retailers. The asphalt had water pumping up from the ground and was badly failed in several locations.
Spotlight: The project included phasing over multiple years to meet the customers budget and to repair the asphalt and install French drains to stop water from pumping up from the ground.
Problem: Underground water was causing the asphalt to fail in multiple areas, and the asphalt throughout the property had bad failures. We had to phase this over multiple years so the customer could stay within budget while still getting the project completed.
Solution: Offered a multi-year solution to their problems. We focused on installing French drains to get the ground water into the storm water system and stop pumping up through the asphalt. We also repaired all failed asphalt and restriped the parking lot. Several areas needed to be re-sloped to accommodate water flow and get rid of puddling issues.
