Overview: 8 Acre commercial parking lot with several high volume retailers. The property was not compliant with ADA standards for their path of travel in front of almost every retailer. Several of the ADA parking areas were also out of ADA compliance.
Spotlight: Bring all areas that need to be within ADA compliance into compliance.
Problem: The slopes were off in the parking areas and the concrete path of travel creating non compliance with ADA requirements.
Solution: Repave the asphalt parking areas and asphalt walkways to come into ADA compliance. Removed all concrete that was not within the ADA guidelines and replaced it so that it would come into compliance. We were able to accomplish this while the stores remained operational. No shutdowns for businesses were required.
